What do you think of as Easter approaches – chicks, chocolate, spring flowers, Easter Bunnies?? For me, it’s yummy chocolate. The Cuttlebug folder Honeycomb was perfect for the chocolate effect on the egg. I then cracked open the top of the egg and filled it with more little eggs. Lets see what inspires you over at Cuttlebug Mania this week and the lucky winner will win a prize from Digi Scrap Kits.

It was only when I started making my card for this weeks challenge at Cuttlebug Mania, that I realised my card from last week was very similar to the sketch!! So, I decided to just turn the card round and make it portrait.
This week we have an amazing prize sponsored by Craftie-Charlie, including:-
Bo Bunny Isabella 6x6 Paper Pad
6 sheets of co-ordinating Bazzill 8.5x11" (2 each of dark taupe, Emma and Bling Tiara)
Cuttlebug Nat Damask Embossing Folder
Dovecraft Tea Party Heart Doilies
Hero Arts Cling Stamp 'Getting Ready' CG265
and a Prima Crystal Sheet in Clear 565053
I have 3 sets of the Cuttlebug border embossing folders and I’ve hardly used them, because to be honest, they have never inspired me!! But I had a brainwave, lets make a background with them. Where the folder left it’s edge marks, I just embossed a line to cover them up. I was really pleased with how it turned out. It’s inspired me to use them more. So lets see your take on the sketch and your project must include some dry embossing.
Materials used – Blue card blank, White and yellow cardstock, Cuttlebug plus Frills embossing folders and Tim Holtz Tattered Floral die, My Mind’s Eye Moments paper pad, Papertrey Ink Faux Ribbon stamps, Fiskars Sentiment border punch, Felt, Button, Twine and Half-pearls.

Before I tell you about this weeks challenge, myself and Jannie want to say a BIG Thank You for your support in starting our new challenge blog – Cuttlebug Mania. We have had fantastic entries for our first challenge and hope to see more of you join over the coming weeks. We hope to have our new logo and blinkie up on the blog next week too.
Now on to this weeks challenge and it’s a colour challenge – Pink and Brown with some ribbon. I bought this little dress stamp from Hobby Craft and it’s just perfect for paper piecing but it would also be great coloured.
Materials used – A6 white card blank, Pink and brown cardstock, Polkadoodles paper, Cuttlebug plus Swiss Dots embossing folder, Hobbycraft Dress Stand stamp, Creative Expressions Elegant Ladies stamp, Fiskars Sentiment border punch, Memento Rich Cocoa ink, Ribbon and Stickles.

Firstly some news – sadly the Cuttlebug Spot has closed after over 4 years of wonderful projects. I’ve had great fun working with everyone. But all is not lost, myself and team mate Jannie have created a new blog called Cuttlebug Mania. We are going to continue our Tuesday challenges. Some will be for fun and others for prizes. The blog is still work in progress but please do join us and have fun and please pass the word around so we can get more people join in with the challenges.
It’s Tuesday and time for our first challenge over at the Cuttlebug Mania. For the month of March I’m setting the challenges and for my first challenge it’s Butterflies with a bit of bling. I’ve made one butterfly the focal point of my card and added some glitter and gems. I’ve made this for my Mum as it’s Mothers Day here in the UK on Sunday 10th March.
