Cuttlebug Spot - Stars

Tuesday, 29 January 2013

Sorry about the late post but I’m still getting into the swing of things after my fantastic holiday skiing. Can’t believe it’s all over already.

Here is our last shape challenge at the Cuttlebug Spot and it’s stars. Mine is a very quick card using Basic Grey scraps and a few stars cut out with my Cuttlebug. Looking at the card now, I think a little button on one of the stars would look good.

Materials used – White A6 card blank, Cuttlebug plus Olivia dies, Basic Grey scrap papers, Fiskars Postage Edge punch, Paper Smooches Sentiment Sampler, Memento brown ink and Mini star punch.

Cuttlebug Spot - Squares

Tuesday, 22 January 2013

I’m still in France having a great time skiing with my husband. Our boys are back home now having spent a week with us. We’ve had a great time with them and they are still much faster than me!!

Welcome to another shapes challenge at the Cuttlebug Spot. This week it’s squares and there’s a quite a few on my card, courtesy of the embossing folder. I love this little feet stamp that my eldest son bought me for Christmas. No new babies on the horizon after welcoming 2 nephews last year, but it doesn’t hurt to be prepared.

Materials used – A6 white card blank, Assorted cardstock, Cuttlebug plus Sizzix Plaid embossing folder, Paper Smooches Sentiment Sampler, Artemio Pieds stamp, Assorted Memento inks, Half pearl and Twine.

Cuttlebug Spot - Circles

Tuesday, 15 January 2013

Hopefully if Mr Blogger is behaving himself and my post will have published while I’m skiing in La Rosiere, France. Our chosen shape this week is circles. I’ve used a large dots embossing folder and this lovely heart full of circles which I filled with gems. I  got this lovely stamp set from Craftwork Cards free with Simply Cards and Papercraft magazine and it’s great for anniversaries and Valentines Day. And as bonus the sentiment has a circle on it too.

Materials used – Pink and white cardstock, Cuttlebug plus Quickutz Polka Dots embossing folder, My Mind’s Eye Miss Caroline Dolled Up paper pad, Craftwork Cards Candi stamps, Fiskars Sentiment border punch, Memento Rich Cocoa ink, Mini heart punch, Stickles and Gems.

Cuttlebug Spot - Triangles

Tuesday, 8 January 2013

Happy New Year to all and welcome back to the Cuttlebug Spot. Hope you all had a good break. Our theme for this month is Shapes and we kick off with Triangles. You could make a triangle shaped card, a gift or use them on a card as I did and make a border. We would love to see your inspiration for this challenge and what you come up with. My Mum bought me this cute set of stamps from Paper Smooches for Christmas, so I had to use this happy dog on my card.

Materials used – White A6 card blank, Assorted cardstock, Cuttlebug Scallop Square die, CartUs Scallop die and Swiss Dots embossing folder, Paper Smooches Chubby Chums and Sentiment Sampler, Assorted Promarkers, Memento Tuxedo Black, Rich Cocoa and Love Letter ink and Black marker.
