Cuttlebug Spot – Scraps and Layers

Tuesday, 27 November 2012

Here's my interpretation of this weeks challenge. All the elements are scraps of paper and card apart from the picture and there are 6 layers including the base. I made this for my BIL's birthday who is currently rebuilding a vintage car, so this photo made me smile. The Cuttlebug Spot has been joined by some fabulous new designers who will be showing off their talents. Pop on over to see their designs.

Cuttlebug Spot – Feathers

Tuesday, 20 November 2012

When I saw this challenge, I just didn’t know how I was going to do it. I do not own anything with feathers on, no paper, stamps, feathers – real or faux or embellishments!! I looked at my folder of images that I’d downloaded from the Graphics Fairy and found this beautiful picture of 3 Victorian ladies with feathers in their hats. That will do lovely, I thought. I just added glitter to parts of their hats to a bit of bling.

Materials used – White square card blank, Cuttlebug plus Stylized Flowers embossing folder, Prima Botanical papers,Image from the Graphics Fairy, Fiskars Bracket border punch, Circle punch, Kaisercraft Script stamp, Memento Muted Mauve ink and Diamond Stickles.

Cuttlebug Spot – 3 different items

Tuesday, 13 November 2012

Hello all. I’m back in sunny Florida so I hope Mr Blogger has behaved itself and published my post. Our challenge for this week is to using 3 different Cuttlebug items on our project – embossing folders and dies. I chose to use an inking technique on my embossing folder plus a couple of die cuts. The technique so simple – just ink up the inside of the folder, carefully place your cardstock inside and run through your Cuttlebug. You’ll get a different effect depending on what side of the folder you ink. Great fun to do. Join us at the Cuttlebug Spot to join in with the challenge.

3 Techniques

Materials used – A6 card blank, White and brown cardstock, Cuttlebug plus Craft Concepts In Stitches embossing folder, Bike image from The Graphics Fairy, Cart-Us Frame Square Wave and Square dies, Hero Arts Birthday Messages, Memento Rich Cocoa and Desert Sand ink and Ribbon.

Cuttlebug Spot – Leaves/Autumn

Tuesday, 6 November 2012

We have 3 oak trees in our front garden and the leaves are falling fast, so this card is very apt. I used the leaf Cuttlebug dies to create the apertures in the card and backed them with scraps of autumn coloured papers. Pop on over and join in with our leaves/autumn challenge at the Cuttlebug Spot as we’d love to see your interpretations of the challenges.
