Cuttlebug Spot – Owls …

Tuesday, 30 October 2012

…or one in my case! This wasn’t the owl I was going to use, but the cute owl I ordered didn’t arrive :( Hopefully it will turn up soon. I used 2 different stamps for my owl as I wanted him to have a hat. It’s strange how the camera changes colours, the green on this card is so bright but the camera has made it look muted. Pop on over to the Cuttlebug Spot to see what the design team has made this week, plus the Design Team call is open until 31st October if you’d like to join us.

Cuttlebug Spot – Black, Orange and Purple

Tuesday, 23 October 2012

Hello everyone. Black, orange and purple are the colours for this weeks challenge over at the Cuttlebug Spot. The first thing that springs to mind is Halloween, but we are not big on Halloween in our house but I wanted to stick with the colours. I just softened them a bit and made this card for a birthday. I’ve been looking for a zigzag die for ages that wasn’t too big. I found this punch on holiday by EK Success. I love their punches, they cut so well.

Birthday Croc

Friday, 19 October 2012

Still loving these Paper Smooches stamps. This lovely croc comes from the set Zoo Crew. I was hoping to buy some more sets on my recent visit to Florida, but sadly I could only find one shop that stocked them and they only had a couple of sets available, one of which I already had. Thankfully you can buy Paper Smooches here in the UK at Make the Day Special. There will be lots on my Christmas list. Just a bit of stamping and some paper piecing was used to make this card.

Cuttlebug Spot – 3D Turkey

Tuesday, 16 October 2012

Hello everyone, I’m back from a fantastic holiday in Florida. I managed to visit some craft shops – Hobby Lobby, AC Moore, Joanns and Michaels and bought some great things. Stamps, punches, ribbons, Cuttlebug folders etc. I’m going to have great fun playing with my new toys.

You might have seen that the Cuttlebug Spot is back. I missed the first 2 weeks because of my holiday, but I’m back for this week. Our task was to create a project using a turkey and it must be 3D. I’ve made a Thanksgiving table decoration using my Cricut. I cut out the turkey, then cut extra layers of feathers for the 3D effect, increasing the size by 1/2 inch each time. Thought he turned out cute.

We are also looking for new design Team members. You will need to submit a project once a week, have a blog and an embossing machine of course. If you fancy joining us please take a look here for more details.
