Cricut Forum UK Thread - Tattered Flower

I am now challenge mistress on the UK thread of the Cricut forum and I set a challenge every Sunday. For our first challenge I created my first ever sketch. You can turn it, but the sketch has to be obvious. I’ve seen these tattered flowers on a few blogs, so decided to give one a go. The camera makes the paper look bluish but it’s actually purple.

Polkadoodles Challenge 6

My worst nightmare came true this week when I had to do………some colouring. Easy for some but not for me. Many Pollys went in the bin, before I coloured one that I was happy with. This week we made a landscape card and used paper ribbon not fabric.

This weeks challenge -

You can either use the sketch or do your own layout, but you MUST use a landscape card. The rules are that you have to colour an image yourself - this can either be a stamped image or a topper, any image, and you can use whatever you like to colour but you cannot use fabric ribbons, you must use a paper ribbon. Have fun.

PolkaDoodles Challenge 5

Friday, 19 June 2009

Well where did that week go, another challenge done and dusted. We had to use pink and orange this week plus 2 buttons, but I got carried away and used 4, but I wasn’t the only one. I went for a little bag, which is something I don’t normally do, but it was fun. I wanted to put a chocolate bar inside, but I didn’t have any boo hoo, so a lolly and a chewy bar went in instead.

Polkadoodles Challenge 4

Friday, 12 June 2009

I had a bit of a nightmare with this one, I put my paper on upside down, had problems with the birds tails, but I got there is the end. Nikky asked us to use the gorgeous ladybirds but I had already made my card and sadly I didn’t have time to make another this week. I turned the sketch upside and just snipped a bit off the bottom so the card would stand up. I used flowers, birds and a scallop for my 3 elements.

Carols Sketch Fun

Friday, 5 June 2009

Carol at Funky Hand has started her own challenge blog called Carols Sketch Fun. There will be sketch challenges posted every 2 weeks. We can turn the sketch if we wish, but the layout has to be obvious. There is also yummy blog candy to be won.

I turned the sketch and then dithered for a while trying to decide what to put in the panel. I decided on the flower to fit in with the background paper.
