Our Anniversary

Wednesday, 30 December 2009

Hope you all had a great Christmas, I did, but didn’t it go so fast. Spent lots of time with my family and friends. My sister bought me some Sizzix embossing plates and they work great with my Cuttlebug after a bit of trial and error. Plus my mum got me the cutest little rub on paper doll faces, so lots of toys to play with.
I hope you like this card I made for our anniversary, slightly belated as it was in November. Happy New Year to everyone.

Materials used – Cream square card blank, K & Co papers, My Minds Eye- Bloom and Grow clear stamps, Fiskars corner punch, Free magazine clear stamps for the heart and sentiment, Versamagic brown and green chalk ink and Ribbon.

Polkadoodles Challenge 31 – Swinging Girl

Friday, 18 December 2009

It’s snowing and I love it. It’s just sooooo pretty. We don’t get snow here very often and it probably won’t last long, but it’s a treat to see. Here’s a couple of photos I took. I though the plants looked lovely covered in snow.

Can you believe this our last challenge for 2009, where has the time gone. I made a similar card for Nikkys C&C program, so decided to do another one for this challenge. I used the swinging girl image and papers from the Back to Nature CD. Added some doodling and then some flowers with a little glitter in their centres. The sentiment has been stamped with a Candy Doodles stamp. We will be back again in January with more fantastic challenges.

Christmas Skate Boot

Wednesday, 16 December 2009

This was meant to be an easel card, but I got carried away and put tape all over the back – doh. Liked the way it turned out though.

Polkadoodles Challenge 30 – Happy Moo Year

Sunday, 13 December 2009

First things first, well done to the following ladies for getting onto the design team. We had loads of fab entries, but we could only pick 4 and they are - Kate, Brenda, Nettie, Fliss and Dolly who was our Guest Designer in November. Welcome to you all.

Oh, the nightmare that are printers. The toner is not sticking to the paper, hence the sad looking cow!! Anyway papers from Back to Nature plus a little glitter and some ribbon. Thought this would be fun. Hope you like my take on the challenge, which was use the sketch or add an envelope.

Christmas Easel Card

Wednesday, 9 December 2009

I’ve seen lots of these on the web and thought I must have a go. What fun they are to make. This was first effort and I was pleased how it turned out. I gave it to my Mum and Dad and they loved it. I’ve made another two which I will post later. I’m definitely going to make more of these as they are so easy and versatile.

Polkadoodle Challenge 29 – Scallop Frame and Squares

Friday, 4 December 2009

Still loving the blue Christmas theme. Nikky set a great sketch and then I used papers from Jingle Jangles. The frame was cut with my Cricut and then glittered around the edges. Used the Christmas stamps, which I stamped onto card and then embossed with clear powder, cut out and put onto the squares with foam pads.
